咏怀古迹五首（其五）

杜甫

诸葛[1]大名垂宇宙，

宗臣遗像肃清高。

三分割据[2]纡筹策，

万古云霄一羽毛。

伯仲之间见伊吕[3]，

指挥若定失萧曹[4]。

运移汉祚终难复，

志决身歼军务劳。

注释：

[1] 诸葛：诸葛亮，蜀国开国丞相，辅佐刘备和刘禅二代，最终在五丈原病死于与司马懿对垒的军中。

[2] 三分割据：指三国时期三足鼎立的形势。据《三国志》记载，“三分天下而有蜀”的策略是诸葛亮提出和实施的。

[3] 伊吕：指古代的贤相伊尹和吕尚。伊尹是商汤的辅佐之臣，帮助商汤建立商朝；吕尚是周武王的辅臣，帮助武王打败商代，建立西周。

[4] 萧曹：指西汉的萧何和曹参，二人都是汉高祖刘邦的辅政之臣、西汉的开国元勋、著名的汉代丞相。

To the Prime Minister of Shu （Ⅴ）

Du Fu

Your fame spreads far and wide, honored for long, long time:

Your noble image looks so solemn and sublime.

The world divided into three, Shu in the west;

You drove all clouds away with a plume on the crest.

You could rival all premiers of the olden day;

Beside you, all generals look pale and fade away.

But the kingdom at stake, you could not turn the tide;

Busy with your campaigns, with labor lost you died.

The Prime Minister refers to Zhuge Liang in the time of the Three Kingdoms (220—280).

Qi Ji Poem: To the Early Mume Blossoms – 齐己《早梅》

早梅 齐己 万木冻欲折， 孤根暖独回。 前村深雪里， 昨夜一枝开。 风递幽香去， 禽窥素艳 [1] 来。 明年应有律 [2] ， 先发望春台 [3] 。 注释： [1] 素艳：这里指早梅的色彩素净而又娇艳。 [2] 律：原来指古代校正乐音标准的管状仪器，并且分有十二律；又因为古人用十二律的名称对应一年的十二个月，所以律又指节气。此处“应有律”就是指应该有一个明媚的春季。 [3] 春台：这里代指主持考试的礼部。 To the Early Mume Blossoms Qi Ji Frozen are all the trees; Your warm root will not freeze. In the village’s deep snow Last night your branch did blow. Fragrance oozed in wind light; Birds peep at you still white. If you blossom next year, You will foretell spring’s near.
